*** PLEASE NOTE I am away from the workshop between the dates of August 8th until August 22nd, so unfortunately any orders placed won't be processed until I return, and will arrive on Monday 27th August at the earliest.***
The 'Contoured Coasters' collection began in The Lake District but has since expanded to feature areas of Scotland, Wales, the Peak District and also includes sets of the National Three Peaks & The Yorkshire Three Peaks.
These six coasters depict popular peaks in the gorgeous Glen Coe region, with one coaster even featuring the A82: the road made famous in the Bond movie Skyfall and well worth making a roadtrip along!
You can pick 'n' mix your favourite designs (across the entire range) when purchasing these coasters. Simply let me know your choices upon checkout or via an Etsy conversation.
There are four different designs to chose from in The Glen Coe range, all of which can be seen in the photos:
• Bidean nam Bian (Three Sisters)
• Buachaille Etive Beag (Stob Dubh and Stob Coire Raineach)
• Buachaille Etive Mòr (Stob Dearg & Stob na Doire)
• Sgorr Dhearg
• Sgorr nam Fiannaidh
• Sgùrr na h-Ulaidh
Each Contoured Coaster design starts on the computer where I digitally recreate all the 50m contours, popular summits, any lakes, reservoirs or tarns, roads and place names. They are then laser etched and cut from oak veneered plywood, sealed with Danish oil, inset with blue tinted acrylic in place of water and finished with bright orange felt to protect your coffee table. They are highly accurate to a scale of 1:25000; although it's perhaps best not to use them to go walking!
Coasters are available to buy individually, as sets of four, or as sets of six.
I often make coasters to order so please expect 3-5 business days before they are ready to be posted out to you. Time of delivery from that point depends on your location and postal service. If you require your coasters by a certain date just drop me a message and I'll try my best to make it happen.
